Security Architect at Day & Zimmermann in Audubon, PA

The Security Architect plays a key role in designing security for new and innovative business solutions, improving assessment and validation processes to identify and correct security risks, and securing the applications that support the operation of the bulk electric system. This individual will solve security challenges with implementing and integrating cloud-based services into business processes, managing and controlling big data, and leveraging machine learning processes to solve complex business problems. This position may be eligible for flexible work arrangements. Management will confirm the options for flexibility. Business needs and/or on-call responsibilities may require you to report to campus.
Essential Functions:
Advances cloud roadmap through the design and implementation of security controls. Researches, designs, and implements cyber security solutions for systems and products that comply with all applicable security policies and standards. Works with ITS, internal and external business partners to ensure that security is factored in the evaluation, selection, installation and configuration of hardware and software. Analyzes and makes recommendations to improve network, system and application architectures. Reviews and updates cyber security policies, architectures, and standards. Leads continuous improvement initiatives for SOC1 and NERC CIP compliance information security programs. Characteristics and
Qualifications:
Required:
BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, Risk Management or equivalent work experience At least 5 years
Experience:
Security technical expertise in one more of the following:
applications (on-prem or cloud-based), networks, operating systems, or DevOps. Previous security engineering / architecture experience Thorough understanding of cyber security principles Knowledge on cyber security threats and risks (including supply chain security risks Experience working in a regulated industry (especially NERC CIP) Preferred:
MBA At least 8 years of experience with:
Cloud security experience such as implementing encryption, authentication, cloud access security brokers, and monitoring Developing and exercising data breach response plan Experience working with varying levels of classified data Experience implementing data loss tools and processes One or more of the certifications is preferred:
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) or Equivalent certifications
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & Engineering, IT SecurityEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
